Experience Kefalonia

The best season to visit is from April through October.  In April and May, the island’s nature explodes with color, in July and August the Island rejoices in celebrations and festivals, locals claim September is the best, while in October the water is the warmest.

North: Fiscardo village, a walk to the old lighthouse, Assos village, a walk to the fortress, exceptional secluded bays

East: Agia Efimia, Melissani cave, Karavomilos village (site for a strange geological phenomenon), Sami (especially around the old fishing port,

as well as Odysseus zoo land), Antisamos bay

South: Countless sandy beaches, unique monasteries (like the one with miracle snakes, or the old Monastery with the cave of St Gerasimos, protector of the Island), the capital Argostoli (that hides the second part of the geological phenomenon), and of course the highest mountain Ainos, with amazing views from the top.

West: Full of exceptional places, starting from South West and bays with different phenomenon like Xi Beach with red sand and clay rocks, or Kounopetra Bay with moving rocks, PlatiaAmos Bay (only accessible by boat), the best sunset from Petani Bay, and Myrtos Bay, probably the most famous among the island bays.

Activities
The island offers much more than beaches and sea. Enjoy walks in the pedestrian zone in Argostoli, hike the Ainos mountain and sign in the book of conquerors, drive the east coast from Sami to Agia Efimia and then to the West over to Myrtos and Assos, cruise around the Island, cruise to other Islands, cruise around the corner, discover the secluded and often most beautiful bays of Kefalonia, dance at a local fair, try out local delicacies, find your own private cove (throughout the year with the exception of August), relax, enjoy.

When you stay with us, we’ll provide you with all the information and recommendations you might need.

Once you come here, you’ll never be able to let go of Kefalonia.
